Married: Sarah Ann Mortimer at the baptist chapel at Tea Tree Gully, South Australia, on 14th December 1864. (3)
Children: Frederick Whiting b.1865, Eliza Jane Whiting b.1866, Mary Ann Whiting b.1870, William Thomas Whiting b.1874, David Henry Whiting b.1877 and Ernest Alfred Whiting b.1881.
Died: 23rd December 1920 in Tea Tree Gully, South Australia. Buried in Row B, Plot 13, Hope Valley Cemetery, Hope Valley, South Australia.(3)

Bio: Thomas' mother Mary Ann died a couple of years after he was born and his father remarried to Mary Webb. He appears on the 1851 census living in Peas Hill, Haverhill with his father, step-mother and sister Sophia.

The next year Thomas and his family emigrated to South Australia aboard the China on 26th july 1852 (see Thomas Whiting). He would have been eleven at the time.

Henry was to marry Sarah Ann Mortimer, 5 years his junior, in 1846. They lived in Modbury, South Australia, where Henry worked as a farmer. They were to have six children.

Henry died on 23rd December 1920 in Tea Tree Gully at the age of 79 and was buried at Hope Valley Cemetery.(3) His wife Sarah Ann died on 23rd October 1925 and is marked on the same gravestone.
