Children:      Ellen Whiting b.1843, Frederick Whiting b.1845, Esther Whiting b.1848, Frank Whiting b.1851, Frances Alice Whiting b.1856, James Whiting b.1860, Joseph Whiting b.1862 and Edith Whiting b.1866
Died:             27th February 1900 of bronchitis dyspnoea, aged 78, at 3 Hanbury Road in Acton. Buried at Haverhill Cemetery on 5th March 1900.(4,5,6)

 

Bio:               Elizabeth is present on the 1841 census living on Race Farm, Haverhill, with her parents Thomas and Mary and siblings Thomas, John, Sarah, James and Susanna. Next year she married David Whiting, had eight children and lived with him until he died in 1892. At some point afterwards Elizabeth must have gone to live with her youngest daughter Edith. She died on 27th February 1900 aged 78 of bronchitis dyspnoea at 3 Hanbury Road, Acton, which is where Edith and husband Elijah Barrett were living. Edith was present at the death, the cause of which was certified by S.A. Jolly, MRCS. Bronchitis dyspnoea was inflammation of the mucous membrane in the bronchial tubes accompanied by shortness of breath.
